National Guard Armory on NE Adams Street. I was a member of the Illinois National Guard from 1970-1976 and was stationed at this armory all six years. The building is now vacant and is reportedly in deplorable condition.

Morton Municipal Building. This was Morton's post office until 1976 when the new post office was completed.

This building located at 117 W Jefferson Street in downtown Morton was home to Dietrich Furniture for many years. I worked at the store from 1965-1967 delivering furniture while I was in high school. The owner, Sam Dietrich, was the best boss I ever had!

The annual Morton Pumpkin Festival is held every September. Libby's canning factory cans much of the world's pumpkins right here in Morton.
